The team and I get it. It’s unusual to not have a sale for Black Friday. However we never have had one, nor will we. Last year we were overwhelmed with the support we saw from you, the DFYNE community, for our Breakthrough Black Friday and raising over $250,000. Making those donations on behalf of you was one of the highlights of the team and my year knowing you did something great with us.

Over the past year, we’ve been so grateful for your support, it’s allowed us to triple the size of the team, and with an ever growing community this will be our biggest year of support for mental health charities yet. If this past year has shown me anything, it’s the importance of being there for your Family, Friends, Team, and knowing they are there for you. Having seen this past year how a helping hand to those around you can have such a positive impact, it’s only reinforced for us all at DFYNE that every Black Friday we will be supporting those who may need a helping hand to Breakthrough their Darkness.

The Story to breakthrough Black Friday

How I’ve come to be sat here writing this comes from the days before DFYNE, It’s why we do our Black Friday’s this way, and is a journey of many of the DFYNE Team, and community may have experienced.

DFYNE its self was born out of an extremely dark and tough time in my life. A time when it felt like everything around me was falling apart. One of those times where we can’t seem to see a light at the end of the tunnel, where life seems to be dictating everything for you giving you the feeling that you have no control, where we can’t seem to breakthrough ourselves. And that’s it. In those times we need a helping hand to breakthrough.

DFYNE was born with a sole purpose, “to make people feel incredible”. I called the company DFYNE as a daily reminder, that we all have it within us to DFYNE our journey, DFYNE our happiness, DFYNE our goals, and to build a community who believe in being that helping hand whether to a friend, family member, or person you barely know when you can see they need to breakthrough. We can’t always do it alone, but together we can DFYNE our journey.

I was fortunate to have an incredible partner who was unconditionally supportive time and time again, when everything seemed to be crumbling around me for years before DFYNE. Since starting DFYNE, I have been so grateful for the incredible team who’ve chosen to join the team at HQ, I can see how they all look out for eachother with care and compassion. However, there was a time I wasn’t so fortunate, and that time is now for many people.

This is why, while we know you may be disappointed that we don’t have any Black Friday sales, we’re instead going to donate 30% of your order value* to supporting those who need a helping hand to breakthrough, and you will get to DFYNE which of the charities we are supporting will receive your 30%.

We’ve kept things close to the heart when choosing which initiatives to support, with 3 specific categories we wanted to support. Between the team, we’ve all been at the mercy of one or more of these categories. I can imagine some or many of you, and our incredible community may also have encountered these struggles, and the initiatives we’ve chosen each aim to do one of the following:

• Tackling depression and anxiety
• Suicide prevention
• Supporting those with eating disorders

Breakthrough Black Friday runs for Every order made from 12pm GMT on the 25th November through to midnight GMT on the 2nd December will have 30% of your order total* donated to a charity of your choice from the 9 listed.

You will receive a link to a form in your order confirmation email to choose which charity you would like us to donate your 30%. If you don’t receive the email, that’s no problem at all, you can always come back here, click this link, and enter your order number & email address or phone number you placed your order with us with, for you to DFYNE where your 30% goes.

You can choose any number of charities you’d like your 30% to be split between.

If you decide not to vote, your 30% will be split equally between the 3 charities in or closest to your region**
